It has been a big week around the Bailey house. OK, it was a big week a couple weeks ago! It seems as though posting has slipped my mind now that I am constantly monitoring the bladder activity of our 2 year old. Oh, and I have homework now too! It's hard to decide which is more exciting, Spencer starting Kindergarten or Olivia being potty trained.
Spencer has been absolutely loving school. He was so pumped up on the first day that we made him do jumping jacks to settle down! He couldn't wait to ride the bus with his best bud Davis. I wasn't one of those emotional moms. No crying for me, but I have to admit that when I saw our little guy walk up the steps on the bus, I got a lump in my throat. He didn't even look out the window and wave goodbye!!! Rude. I did laugh outloud as I saw the parade of minivans following behind the bus all the way to the school. Yup, laughed all the way to my own car, out the driveway, and to the school! Good thing though, he lined up with the wrong class! I am sure it would have been straightened out relatively quickly, but at least it validated my reasons for going. Sadly, he isn't as thrilled about homework, but I am sure he will soon realize that they aren't the worst TWO MINUTES of the day!
Olivia is officially potty trained. Well, at least in my book. She really has done very well. 95% of any of her accidents have been my fault due to lack of attention or over estimating the size of her bladder. She even went potty on the first day with out having me around. I have to admit that there is something thrilling about having somebody sing to you that never convenient question, "Come wipe my bUuuuum!" Thrilling when a two year old says it, not so much when they're five. Hopefully this pic isn't considered too risque'.
Due to the need for little ones to get up during the night to use the facilities, Olivia finally got her bed put together! I would have been fine keeping her in her crib for as long as possible, but I was too worried she would break her neck in the middle of the night. Kev and I picked out the cheapest, NEW mattress we could find, and set it up. I think I was more excited than Oli. I had her bedding sitting in her closet for over a year! Now she knows she's a big girl. Panties AND a big girl bed. She was seriously jumping like such a maniac, that I couldn't get a decent shot of her face! Crazy girl.
It's been fun around here. Now, can someone please teach Spencer how to ride a bike and Oli to peddle her trike!

Congrats on all the goings on! I remember when my son was "officially" potty trained that it was a sigh of relief everytime we went to the store and I didn't have twenty dollars or more worth of diapers. I sure don't miss those days at all!! And how cute are the tiny underwear they have these days? Wait, that sounded kinda odd.
Have a great day!!
Now that your kids are so big... time for a new little one!!
I'm so jealous about Oli...Roman is still fighting it.
I love the fact that she is even smiling for the picture on the pot. I dare you to get one of those in her later years. Actually, don't, that would be bad news.
Those kiddies are just growing up! That potty shot may come back to haunt her but it's really cute!
i bet that picture of Olivia will come back to haunt her when she has her 21st birthday and you are blogging about it. $50!
oh how i WISH i had kindergarten homework.
I can't believe Spenc is going to school... he is so handsome and I miss him do much! I remember taking care of that little guy! I have about 500 pics of him! Give him a love from me!
Oli... what the?????? Congrats to the new little princess in your home! She is so sweet and i miss her too! Give her a love from me too!
Miss ya!
I'll take the $50 and bet you that she puts it in her wedding video!!! Well, as long has her future hubby has a shot just like it!
Princess nothin'. We have a DIVA on our hands! We love it! She is a total crack up.
Hey Katie, try throwing some Cheerios in the potty and see if he will aim at them! I never tried it, but I have heard it works. Try buying the fruity ones. Maybe the color will make it look more fun.
HAHA I was SO gunna call the wedding video!! hah Awesome.
And that fruit loop idea sounds genius!
I was totally thinking what Veronica was thinking...Now that like is a little easier, it's time to throw another one in the mix!
Olivia's room is really cute.
WOW!! I'm really impressed. It seemed so fast to potty train Oli...at least to me it did! I'm sure you didn't feel that way:). Her room is SOOO cute, I love it! Plus, I need to hang out with you guys.
I have a total vision in my head of you going to the school and yelling across the school yard at Spencer. Even if it didn't happen that way I see it.
Oli is so big! So does that mean in 7 months Miles will be all done too? Whateveh!
I need to hang out too!
Great week!!! I wish my 2 year old was potty trained!!! He pretends to gobut just sits on the pot for a minute than says "done!!!" He really just wants to flush!
Sometimes I think of the time Oli sang 'I am a Child of God'in the car on the way to ice cream and I had to fight tears... really, I had had the most exhausting past few weeks and was just worn out on life and then her cute little voice sang that and I fell in LOVE with her. your kids are cute and you are the cutest mom- yeah because you potty train them and help them with their homework, but mostly because you sing with them and love them so stinkin much its contagious
... I love you KJ.
contagious to want to be married and have a cute family... not to love them, thats just impossible not to do.
Posting at 12:47 AM, you must be busy!
Congrats on the potty training! Now you can have another one!
You have the most beautiful children! You are going to have to beat the kindergarten girls off with a stick!
haha oli looks like he has it all down! Pretty sure i dont look that cute on the pot! She is getting so big..and her bedroom is so adorable! spencer is a boy now.. not a little kid.. He looks ready to take the next step in his little world!! Love you guys!
spencer is so cute all ready for his first day of school. i cant believe how big they are getting. it seems like you just had oli and i was big and fat pregnant with dylan. time flies!
John tied eliza's feet to the pedals on her first bike which I think was a "hot wheels" and when the feet can't come off, they finaly get it.
No helps for the bicycle. It has been too long since I taught that one.
That bedroom set looks so cute, especially her little armoire. Congratulations on all of the milestones.
I can believe Spencer is old enough for school! And Olivia potty training...man, everybody is growing up. I loved the "sick" pictures. Her hair is the best!
